Returning to Kent State University following four years as a Marine officer, Jim earned his BFA degree in commercial art and immediately embarked on a design career that enabled him to participate on hundreds of high profile projects from the sunny beaches of Hilton Head Island to the exotic tropical paradises of Bali and Mauritius. As a skilled conceptual artist and designer of award-winning environmental graphics programs, Jim continues to view true success in terms of the client’s overall level of satisfaction, and not through personal recognition.

As Director of Environmental Graphics for the Sea Pines Company on Hilton Head, James gained extensive experience in the design, specification and coordination of comprehensive signage programs for private resort destinations such as Palmas del Mar in Puerto Rico and several other master-planned developments and golf communities located throughout South Carolina and the east coast. As a senior designer/project manager with DCDA in Dallas, Jim became an accomplished team-player, responsible for the design, management and production acquisition for several of the most high-profile resort and casino ventures in Las Vegas, including Mandalay Bay Resort-Spa-Water Park & Convention Center and Caesars Palace Spa Tower and Pool being among his most memorable assignments.

Other international properties bearing Jim’s design influences include The Palace of the Lost City in Johannesburg, South Africa; Euro Disney’s Paris Hotel, New York Hotel and the Sequoia Lodge; the Four Seasons Papagayo Resort in Costa Rica; The Lanesboro Hotel in London; the Hyatt Regency Hotels in Osaka and Fukuoka; and the Taman Anggrek Mall and Condominiums in Jakarta, considered Indonesia’s largest retail and residential development at that time.

Jim has a great desire to challenge other designers and signage fabricators to enlarge their vision to meet or exceed our client’s expectations as a major project goal. A few of these examples would be Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge, Mandalay Bay Resort, Palmetto Bluff Golf Community in South Carolina, and the Camino Real Resort Hotel in Costa Rica.
